Method 1

2. Define the ring by the inner diameter of the circle as close as possible to the edges of the metal.
3. Measure the resulting diameter with a ruler. For example, if you got 2 cm or 20 mm, this will be the correct size.

Important: when the ring is slightly deformed, the size can be measured by two perpendicular diameters. You need to base yourself on the average of these two indicators.

Method 2

The second way to find out the size of the ring using a ruler seems simpler. It is enough to simply put the ring on the ruler and measure its inner diameter.

How to find out the size of the ring using paper

Here there are also two options - according to the template and according to a regular sheet of paper.

What you need to do:

1. Download a template sheet with a size grid from the Internet.
2. Cut out the workpiece.
3. Wrap the template around your finger and tighten until it fits comfortably.

The number that coincides with the arrows on the template is the diameter of your ring.

If you don't have a template, cut a strip of paper 1-1.5 cm wide. To find out the size of the ring, you need to unfold the paper and place it on a ruler.

Divide the result by π (3.14) or compare it to a size chart. You can use a measuring tape instead of paper. The principle is the same.

Tip: If the diameter you get is somewhere between two values ​​and you can’t determine the exact one, we recommend choosing the larger one.

How to find out your ring size using thread

It’s very simple:

1. Take a strong thread;
2. Wrap it around your finger;
3. Leave marks at the ends where the two edges meet;
4. Calculate the distance between the marks with a ruler, divide the result by 3.14.

The method of determining the size by the circumference of the finger using a thread and a ruler has an error - it does not take into account the thickness, width and design of the ring itself. In addition, the thread can press into the skin, thereby reducing the size.

Important: in order not to be mistaken when choosing a ring, focus on the width of the joint. The ideally selected product does not press on the finger and at the same time easily slides over the joint.

How to find out the size of the ring by height and weight

The size of the ring without a ring can be determined by the weight and height of a girl or guy.

1. Height up to 170 cm and weight up to 60 kg - diameter 16-17.5 mm;
2. Height over 170 cm and weight over 60 kg - diameter 18-19.5 mm;
3. For a man up to 80 kg, a diameter of 18.5-20.5 mm will do.

You can calculate the approximate circumference of a finger without measuring a ring by focusing on the clothing size a woman or man wears.

Important: you can adjust the jewelry to the required parameters by no more than one size and only if it is made of precious metals and does not have a scattering of stones or intricate decor on it. Any other products cannot be adjusted.
